The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) loan program provides residential developers with various financing options for transformative housing projects that will make a visible positive impact on our communities. Through NOFA, DCED intends to support projects that achieve Plan Cincinnati’s goals to provide a full spectrum of healthy housing options and to improve housing quality and affordability.

NOFA is a public gap financing tool that leverages private financing to develop quality housing throughout the city. NOFA loans are awarded through a competitive application process, through which DCED staff evaluate and recommend projects based on how well they meet the City’s housing policy objectives.

The 2024 NOFA Loan Program opens February 20th, 2024. If you are interested in applying to this year’s NOFA, plan to complete the 2024 NOFA Intent to Apply form linked below. The Intent to Apply form is required to be eligible for the 2024 NOFA Program. Read the 2024 NOFA Guidelines for more information (also linked below).

To apply for 2024 NOFA:

Submit the Intent to Apply Form via Microsoft Forms, linked below. Intent to Apply should be submitted by 12 P.M. ET on Friday, March 29th, 2024 using the Microsoft Form. Following the Intent to Apply form, submit the Application corresponding with your project type (both Rental & Homeowner options linked below) to the program administrators.
