CiTiRAMA® breaks ground in College Hill
Gershom Grove brings 36 new single-family homes
CINCINNATI – Mayor John Cranley and City Manager Harry Black joined the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati (HBA) Tuesday to break ground at Gershom Grove in College Hill, the site of the 2016 CiTiRAMA®.

Established in 1996, CiTiRAMA® is a partnership between the City of Cincinnati and HBA to provide residents with quality urban housing options through the construction of new single-family homes. Gershom Grove marks the 13th showcase of homes.

“CiTiRAMA’s® history of success in selling homes is a testament to a robust housing market in Cincinnati,” said Mayor John Cranley. “Furthermore, it is proof that our neighborhoods are great assets with much to offer.  We are pleased to once again partner with the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati in this important residential development program and bring CiTiRAMA® to College Hill.”

When completed, the Gershom Grove community will include 36 single-family homes. All homes in the community will receive a property tax abatement. Bonuses for “visitability” (accessibility) features and LEED (energy efficiency) certifications may be available as well.

Homes prices start at $200,000.

“Cincinnati is growing. As we continue to compete for companies and jobs, we need to support this growth by offering an adequate supply of high quality housing,” said City Manager Harry Black. “CiTiRAMA continues to act as a significant catalyst for the revitalization of urban communities like this one in College Hill.”
Brookstone Homes, Drees Homes, Dan Willig Custom Homes, Maronda Homes, Potterhill Homes and Showcase Building & Design have been selected as builders for the community.

“CiTiRAMA® is the nation’s longest-running housing partnership between a Home Builders Association and a municipality. It has spurred the building of hundreds of new homes while reenergizing neighborhoods within the urban core,” said Dan Dressman, HBA Executive Director.

The 2016 CiTiRAMA® home show will be presented Sept. 10-18. General admission tickets can be purchased onsite for $10. Tickets can also be purchased in advance for $8 at all Kroger stores or at AAA members are also eligible for discounted tickets.
