Cincinnati Tax Abatements

The City of Cincinnati offers a tax abatement program to companies and developers building or renovating a residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use facility in such cases where the new or renovated facilities will result in job creation.

Program Eligibility and Requirements

A minimum of $40,000 must be spent on renovation improvements. The abatement rate is up to 75% tax exemption on building improvements. All commercial tax abatements qualify only on the basis of a financial gap analysis and job creation; however, projects that are LEED Silver, Gold, or Platinum will not be subject to any financial gap analysis.
