Cincinnati Neighborhoods: West End
Cincinnati’s West End neighborhood is an area of less than one square mile, located just northwest of downtown, in between Queensgate to the west and Over-the-Rhine to the east. 19th Century, restored Italianate architecture lines West End’s Dayton Street, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
The neighborhood is mostly residential, and is home to Hays-Porter Elementary School and Taft Information Technology High School. At the northernmost part of the neighborhood, Brighton has drawn a community of artists and citizens who desire spacious warehouse settings within minutes of Downtown, Over-the-Rhine, CUF, Clifton, and Northside. Neighborhood development is led by the West End Community Council.
