Cincinnati Neighborhoods: Riverside
Riverside, annexed in 1896, stretches along the Ohio River to the west of Cincinnati for approximately 12 miles before arriving at adjacent Sayler Park, and is a five-minute drive from Downtown. River Road/State Route 50 and a set of railroad tracks run directly through the community, resulting in industrial land use south of River Road and residential use to the north.
Residents of Riverside enjoy a tight-knit community and affordable early- to mid- 20th century homes, many overlooking the river. Cincinnati’s sole ferry service, Anderson Ferry, calls this community home and delivers passengers across the river to and from Boone County, Kentucky. Neighborhood development is led by the Riverside Civic and Welfare Club.
