Pleasant Ridge was annexed in 1911 and sits to the north and east of Downtown, bisected by Montgomery Road and also close to I-71, I-75, Norwood Lateral, and Cross County Highway. Pleasant Ridge has partnered with adjacent Kennedy Heights to create a new arts and entertainment district, called District A. Schools and childcare, places of worship, parks and recreation centers also dot the vibrant neighborhood, serving its many residents and visitors alike.
Neighborhood development is led by Pleasant Ridge Community Council, whose purpose is to be the voice of residents, businesses, and institutions of Pleasant Ridge before Federal, State and Local governmental authorities and to promote a better understanding among all citizens through the free exchange of ideas.
