Cincinnati Neighborhoods: North Fairmount
Fairmount is comprised of four distinct neighborhoods: South Fairmount, North Fairmount, English Woods, and Millvale. North Fairmount is situated between South Fairmount to the south and the English Woods and Millvale communities to the north. Its easternmost border runs along the Mill Creek.
North Fairmount has many homes that date back to the mid- to late-19th century, with architecture reflecting Queen Anne, Italianate, and Second Empire style; North Fairmount’s Knox Hill neighborhood is mostly built in those styles. The neighborhood is mostly residential. A community staple for many is St. Leo the Great Parish, which serves Burundian, Congolese and Guatemalan immigrants. Neighborhood development is led by the North Fairmount Community Council.
