Cincinnati Neighborhoods: North Avondale
North Avondale was annexed, along with Avondale, in 1896 and is an area just over 1.3 square miles located between I-71 and I-75, just south of the Norwood Lateral. Its central location offers easy access to surrounding communities and a short drive to Downtown. Architectural styles such as English Medieval, Greek Revival, Italian Renaissance, and more can be found in the sprawling homes throughout the neighborhood.
There are many schools in North Avondale, including Xavier University, Cincinnati Christian College, North Avondale Montessori School, the New School, Burton Public School, Zion Temple Christian Academy, and Shiloh Preparatory School. Neighborhood development is led by North Avondale Neighborhood Association, a group of committed citizens dedicated to preserving and improving the quality of life in the neighborhood.
