Cincinnati Neighborhoods: Mount Washington
Annexed in 1911, Mount Washington covers just over 3.8 square miles east of Downtown, bordered to the east by the East End and to the south by the community of California. Housing stock ranges greatly in price and value, and the neighborhood has established itself as a good place for families. Grocery stores and other basic amenities are nearby, as well as the 125-acre Stanbery Park. Mount Washington is home to several schools, including Sands Montessori, Mount Washington Elementary School, Guardian Angels School, Archbishop McNicholas High School, and the Athenaeum of Ohio.
Neighborhood development is led by the Mount Washington Community Council. The mission of the Mt. Washington Community Council, Inc. is to educate all residents of the actions of the City of Cincinnati that impact Mount Washington, inform the City’s governing agencies of the views and opinions of the residents, and to empower our residents to enhance the quality of life in Mt. Washington.
