Cincinnati Neighborhoods: Hartwell

Hartwell holds the distinction as Cincinnati’s northernmost neighborhood and is situated in the Mill Creek Valley along Vine Street, Cincinnati’s own Main Street. Annexed to the City of Cincinnati 100 years ago, it is home today to approximately 4,500 residents who enjoy its central location, convenient access to I-75, Ronald Reagan Highway, the Metro bus route to downtown and its walkable neighborhood business district that provides a broad array of local retail.

Neighborhood development is led by the Hartwell Improvement Association, which works to strengthen the residential and business community of Hartwell through special development projects, beautification efforts, and community-wide events.
